Transportation to Hemsedal

There are several ways to get yourself to GFL Hemsedal, and below we have covered the most obvious ones – Airplane, car and Public transport.

We recommend taking the plane to Oslo Airport (OSL), unless you live close to Oslo or Hemsedal.

What is your chosen mode of transport?

1. Book a flight to Oslo Airport (OSL)

The by far most convenient way to transport yourself to GFL Hemsedal is by plane, unless you live in close proximity to Oslo of course. OSL Oslo Airport is the best connected airport in Norway, so you should have no trouble finding a suitable flight.

We recommend Oslo Airport, but if sufficiently many guests want to fly via Oslo TRF this page will be updated with relevant travel tips.

2. Take the GFL BUS to Hemsedal

The GFL BUS will transfer you directly from the arrival terminal to your chosen accomodation in Hemsedal. The bus ride takes about three hours from the airport, but don’t worry, it features some refreshments…

1. Take the GFL BUS from OSL to Hemsedal

The GFL Bus is our best transfer alternative from Oslo Airport (OSL), so we will make sure that you have the opportunity to stay well hydrated during the ride.

The Bus will transport you directly from just outside the arrivals terminal to your chosen accommodation in Hemsedal. We have multiple buses and will inform you in due time which bus you are booked for.

You will receive an email closer to GFL 2025 to register for the bus (additional fee)

*Bus transfer may be available from Oslo TRF Airport if the demand is sufficient.

1. Find your GPS

If you live within driving distance, or just want to drive from the airport, the car might just be your best option.

We recommend setting your GPS to one of the following destinations:
Fýri Resort: Totteskogen 55, 3560 Hemsedal
Skistar Lodge: Holleskardvegen 51, 3560 Hemsedal

2. Get in your car and drive

From both Oslo City Centre and Oslo Airport the drive is around three hours.
From Bergen City Centre the drive is about 4 hours.

1. Getting to Oslo

The main train station in Oslo is called Oslo Central Station (Oslo Sentralstasjon).
The main bus station is called Oslo bus terminal (Oslo Bussterminal).

The stations are located adjacent to each other.

From Oslo Central station (train) you may take train F4 to Gol, and then switch to public bus VY360, VY361 or VY171 to Hemsedal. You may also book a taxi from Gol to Hemsedal for a fixed GFL price. See the Taxi tab for more information.

From Oslo bus terminal (bus) you may take public bus VY170 directly to Hemsedal.

2. Get a ticket to Hemsedal

Wether you are travelling from Oslo Airport (OSL), Oslo Central Station (train station) or Oslo Bus terminal (bus station), we simply recommend using the Travel Widget below.

Enter Oslo Lufthavn, Oslo Sentralstasjon or Oslo Bussterminal as your starting point (or somewhere else if applicable), and the widget will show you all the possible routes to Hemsedal. You may book your tickets via this service.
